1/10 Scale Power System

The BL-2s Brushless Power System is already proven to deliver extreme power and wheel-standing torque in Traxxas 1/10 scale vehicles. Installed in Mini Maxx, BL-2s power punches well above its weight for lightning-quick acceleration and 30+ mph top speed.

1/10 Scale 4X4 Driveline

Mini Maxx is engineered to a higher standard with 1/10 scale 4X4 driveline components. Large steel- gear differentials, beefy 32-pitch gears, and heavy-duty U-joint driveshafts far exceed requirements for strength and long life.

Maxx Chassis Technology

Mini Maxx fits in a backpack but it’s built to withstand all the bumps and bruises of the full-size world. Just one look at the rigid, unified structure and you know it’s a Maxx. A Maxx chassis is always engineered for ultimate strength, and Mini Maxx packs it all up in a supremely compact design.

Clipless Body

Mini Maxx’s innovative clipless body is rock solid and easy to use. Just drop the body onto the chassis and snap it into place for a secure hold. When it’s time to change the battery, depress the tabs under the wheel wells and lift to access the chassis in just seconds. Nothing else is faster or latches more securely.

Long-Travel Suspension

1/10 scale Ultra Shocks^™ and a long-travel independent suspension deliver WideMaxx^® handling and performance in a compact package. Mini Maxx’s beefy long travel suspension delivers superior strength and refined damping control to maintain composure over the roughest terrain.

Sledgehammer^® Tires

New 4″ Sledgehammer tires are ready for action with multiple layers of biting edges for sure-footed traction. Their open-block tread design clears away mud and debris and features a heavy-duty rubber compound specially formulated to resist tearing. New 2.6″ dual-profile black wheels provide extra clearance for the suspension components and give Mini Maxx a tough, menacing appearance.

Chassis Nerf bars

Tough nerf bars protect the chassis from side impacts and provide additional side support to hold the body firmly in place.

Molded Body Reinforcements

Clipless body latches are neatly integrated into molded body reinforcements that look great and protect the body. Unlike traditional posts and clips, body reinforcements spread impact forces over a wide area to minimize the risk of pull-through damage.

Rugged Bumpers

Rugged impact-absorbing bumpers in the front and rear protect the chassis. The front bumper provides a high approach angle that allows Mini Maxx to climb up and over obstacles with ease. The rear bumper accommodates the optional wheelie bar.

1/10 Scale Ultra Shocks

Mini Maxx uses the same full-size oil-filled Ultra Shocks found on Traxxas’ 1/10 scale monster trucks for truly bottomless suspension travel. The Ultra Shocks’ large oil capacity and rugged design soaks up big jumps and off-road abuse for smooth driving performance. They are easy to tune with a wide range of available oils, springs, and pistons.

Modular Chassis

The modular chassis features front and rear bulkheads that remove easily with just a few screws. In less than a minute using a power screwdriver, you’ll have full access for easy service and adjustment.

Fixed Gear Mesh System

A fixed gear mesh system takes the guesswork out of setting your gear mesh with multiple preset gearing positions. Insert the motor screw through the desired gearing position for a perfect gear mesh every time. The fixed positioning also keeps the gear mesh tight, even after the harshest impacts.

BL-2s Brushless Power System

The waterproof BL-2s electronic speed control packs powerful features like three separate drive profiles, low-voltage detection for LiPo batteries, patented Training Mode^™, and Thermal-Shutdown Protection to prevent overheating. The sensorless BL-2s 3300 Kv motor with integrated cooling fan delivers strong brushless performance with nearly zero maintenance.

Battery Compartment

A deep battery compartment shields the battery from impacts inside the reinforced chassis. A swivel clip hold-down firmly secures the battery in place for fast and easy battery swaps.

Your RC experience should be filled with fun and adventure, not limited by the electronics. Traxxas’ patented waterproof technology gives you the freedom live out your wildest adventures, regardless of the weather.

3-Channel Receiver with Fail-Safe Security

In the event of signal loss due to an accidental transmitter switch-off or depleted batteries, the receiver automatically returns the throttle to neutral and holds the last commanded steering position. The fail-safe programming is conveniently built-in and does not need to be activated.

Dual Bellcranks with Servo Saver

Mini Maxx’s full-size 2056 steering servo uses dual bellcranks for zero bump steer geometry and smooth turning action in the harshest conditions. Oversize components and double-shear connections make Mini Maxx unbelievably tough. A heavy-duty, cam-style servo saver guarantees precise steering response with added protection against impacts.

Tough Suspension Arms

Double wishbone suspension arms maintain proper suspension geometry throughout the entire range of travel. They’re modeled after Maxx with double-shear connections and extra material in critical areas for maximum strength and durability.

Hex Hardware

Hex-drive hardware provides a more positive and secure connection than other fasteners. The black-oxide coating provides a rust resistant high-tech look and feel.

Tough Interlocking Skid Plates

Tough interlocking skid plates fit tightly into the Mini Maxx chassis to create a smooth snag-free undertray. The skid plates save wear and tear on the chassis and they’re easy to replace.

Heavy-Duty Suspension Components

Mini Maxx’s beefy suspension components are engineered for heavy-duty strength that punches well above its size class. Modeled after the full-size Maxx, the caster blocks, steering blocks, and axle carriers feature incredibly robust construction, double-shear connections, and extra reinforcing where it’s needed most.

Sealed Bearings

Large, sealed bearings are utilized throughout the Mini Maxx driveline to keep out grime and grit. Less downtime for cleaning and maintaining bearings means more run time—and more fun.

32-Pitch Gears

Stripped gears mean a trip to the workbench, but Mini Maxx eliminates this problem with huge 32-pitch gears. Normally found in much larger 4X4 vehicles, 32-pitch gears deliver total reliability no matter how much power you pour on.

Direct-Drive Transmission

Mini Maxx relies on a direct-drive transmission for instant throttle response and maximum power delivery. Huge 32-pitch gears and a fixed gear mesh make it possible for Mini Maxx to run this ultra-responsive setup. For greater tuning control, use the optional center differential (sold separately) in place of the standard spur gear.

Extreme-Duty Driveshafts

Fortified for hard launches and big brushless horsepower, the driveshafts used in Mini Maxx are 50% larger than standard 1/16 scale driveshafts. The oversized half shafts are built to handle 3-cell LiPo power and offer huge articulation and suspension travel.

1/10 Scale Planetary Differentials

Mini Maxx’s differentials are nearly twice the size of standard 1/16 scale differentials for bombproof durability. The sealed design allows you to tune the amount of locking action by varying the viscosity of the fluid inside the differentials.
